<p>During my undergraduate studies, I pursued a double major in natural resource conservation and international studies to explore the social dimensions of conservation and its connection to global sustainable development. I was particularly drawn to the human aspect of conservation, recognizing the role of tourism in fostering global engagement and shaping conservation efforts. Throughout my undergraduate years I worked closely with ecotourism professor Dr. Stein, who served as my faculty advisor, chose to specialize in how ecotourism can support sustainable conservation efforts and connect people with the natural world. To explore this specialization at a more advanced level I completed the 4+1 combined masters degree program in Forest Resources and Conservation to complete coursework on tourism and natural resource policies.</p>
