How Neutrogena built excitement for their boost bus tour on Texas college campuses with Home From College

Neutrogena launched its Boost Bus tour across Texas to celebrate back-to-school season, helping students ensure their skin was first in class. This fast-moving campaign visited four of Texas's biggest and most diverse schools: UT Austin, Texas A&M, UT Dallas, and Texas Christian University. To build hype and increase participation at each stop, Neutrogena wanted to get the word out about the tour across each campus. So they partnered with us here at Home From College to post a Street Team gig. 

Utilizing our long-standing connections with students, clubs, and Greek life at each campus, we assembled a diverse Street Team. Comprising 10-15 students per school, the team was connected to a wide range of campus groups, from freshman to grad school and from Greek life to multicultural clubs, ensuring the campaign's reach was inclusive and comprehensive. 


Students played a pivotal role in the Boost Bus campaign, taking on a wide range of promotional tactics prior to the bus's arrival on their campus. This included reaching out to 5+ clubs they were involved in to share the tour details, putting up 25+ flyers across campus, and creating user-generated content on their socials to build excitement for the bus. Their early and grassroots outreach efforts significantly contributed to the growing student hype for the bus. 

To increase awareness on the day of the Boost Bus, we arranged exclusive sneak peeks for influential groups on each campus where their members could visit early and create content around the tour. These groups ranged from Texas Sweethearts at UT Austin to the Aggie Gems at Texas A&M and Alpha Kappa Delta Phi at UT Dallas. 

Shift

As a result of Neutrogena and Home From College's partnership, we were able to generate strong excitement within the student population at each school by creating a diverse Street Team that could reach a wide range of communities across each campus, reaching students where they were online and in-person. Neutrogena built a strong wave of brand loyalists in the Street Team who continue to say great things about the brand.
