Zico: Launching a Lifestyle Content Committee

How Zico launched a content committee to show why their coconut water is everyone's newest favorite hydrating drink

From low-calorie sodas to kombucha and yerba mate, Gen Z loves fun beverages that are both refreshing and healthy. A reliable staple in this market is coconut water, which has electrolytes and antioxidants that provide numerous health benefits. Zico Coconut has been a longtime leader in this space, known for its sleek packaging and partnerships with popular brands like 818 at Coachella. As Zico has continued to grow and expand into new stores like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, they wanted to increase their social media presence and create content that would resonate with the younger generation. So, they partnered with Home From College to launch a content committee focused on the key markets of New York City, Miami, and LA. 



Over the course of three months, five content creators created three main types of content for their socials and Zico's that allowed Zico's online presence to be dynamic and entertaining. The three main content buckets were: 


🌴 Lifestyle Content: Creators showed how it seamlessly fits into their everyday routine. From smoothie and fun drink recipes to the perfect pick-me-up after a run or long work day, Zico showed how easy it is to fit their refreshing coconut water into Gen Zers everyday life. 



🛒 Shopping Content: To drive awareness of where shoppers can find Zico in stores, the content committee created content showing themselves going into major retailers like Whole Foods, Publix, and Trader Joe's to grab Zico. 

🎶 Trending Content: The content committee didn't just create content, they kept Zico in the loop with the latest social media trends. By identifying and incorporating popular trends, they ensured Zico stayed relevant and engaging in the fast-paced world of social media.  



Through their H\FC Content Committee, Zico had a vast bank of content to use on their TikTok and Instagram accounts that showcased the versatility of Zico for Gen Zers.
