DebateTV is a live 1v1 debate app built by two Georgetown sophomores. Two people argue a take out loud on video, and an AI ref calls the winner.

In this GIG you will be the person students at your school hear about DebateTV from. Step one is the same for everyone: open debatetv.app/school on your phone and sign in with your school Google account. It takes about 30 seconds, longer at a big school. We take up to 4 students and pick from the people who finish that step. Read what it does below before you do it.

You will be responsible for a few posts about the app in your own style, getting friends to debate each other, and telling us what your campus liked and didn't.

What the unlock does. Signing in at debatetv.app/school gives Better Apps, the company behind DebateTV and Wizzmo, read-only access to your school's Google directory: names, school emails, and the department or title listed with them. At many schools that includes staff and alumni. We save a copy of that list. We use it to email people at your school an invite to our apps, with an unsubscribe, and students who have unlocked can look up anyone in it inside DebateTV and get their email to send a challenge. Nothing is sent from your account. It stays connected until you remove DebateTV in your Google account settings, and removing it stops new reads but does not delete the copy we already saved. Some schools don't allow outside apps on a school account, so check yours if you're unsure.
