In this GIG you will help unlock DebateTV app access by verifying college emails through Google sign-ins.

You will be responsible for ensuring smooth email authentication to enable user directory access at specific schools.

What the unlock does. Signing in at debatetv.app/school gives Better Apps, the company behind DebateTV and Wizzmo, read-only access to your school's Google directory: names, school emails, and the department or title listed with them. At many schools that includes staff and alumni. We save a copy of that list. We use it to email people at your school an invite to our apps, with an unsubscribe, and students who have unlocked can look up anyone in it inside DebateTV and get their email to send a challenge. Nothing is sent from your account. It stays connected until you remove DebateTV in your Google account settings, and removing it stops new reads but does not delete the copy we already saved. Some schools don't allow outside apps on a school account, so check yours if you're unsure.
