The 1099 Forms will be issued by JENZ INC dba Home From College.

We happily agree to take this on as the marketplace in order to save our clients the extra lift and streamline the tax reporting process.

It is required by our TOS to pay GIG workers you find on H\FC through the H\FC platform. Should you want to pay them through your own system, H\FC will charge a $2,500 Buy Out Fee, per GIG worker that you pay off the platform. The Starter Tier is the entry point to use Home From College. For $49 a month, you get access to 5 GIG participants across unlimited GIGs.

The Growth Tier is for brands looking to work with more than 5 people. For $99 a month, you get access to 10 GIG participants across unlimited GIGs.

The Scale Tier on Home From College is designed for companies that are working with more than 11 participants. The fee structure is $9 per participant that has signed their contract. The number of participants is calculated as the maximum number of participants accepted (and signed) at any given time during the billing month. It is also aggregated across GIG programs, since many companies will run multiple GIGs at a time and exceed 11 participants in aggregate.

All SaaS clients on the Starter, Growth, and Scale tiers will be charged a 20% service on top of payments issued to GIG participants (ex. an $100 payment to the GIG worker will be billed at $120, $100 of which goes to the student, $20 to H\FC)

Our customer success team will reach out to you to collect an updated payment method. H\FC reserves the right to charge interest on uncollected invoices due as well as the right to take legal action to enforce our TOS.

Please email our Brand Success Team at gig@homefromcollege.com with the students’ name(s), compensation amount, dates of payment, and we’ll provide confirmation.

In the INVOICES Tab of their Gig Portal > Submit Expense

Open the GIG Workspace > Navigate to Invoices > Review Reimbursement > Approve/Deny Request

Payment Processing dates are visualized on your dashboard with multiple automated email reminders. If payment is processed, the liability falls on the brand. Since payments are paid directly to the students, we don’t have the ability to refund.

Navigate to the billing tab of your account and click manage membership > click the desired option

When a subscription is canceled, all outstanding student compensation processes automatically to ensure students are paid for the work they completed.

H\FC plans are paid monthly or annually. Pricing depends on the selected tier. Our Enterprise plans include custom billing and payment terms, and offer discounts for longer term contracts.

All programs on Home From College are paid. Companies can pay students at an hourly or monthly rate.

Compensation varies by GIG type. Typical ranges: Content Creation — $75–$100 per video; One-time GIG — $250–$400; Monthly GIG — $800/month; Brand Ambassador / Hourly — $30/hr. All GIG participants must be paid at minimum federal minimum wage.

H\FC serves as a built-in payroll and payments infrastructure — automating time tracking, managing disbursements, and consolidating all student compensation into a single monthly invoice. A 20% service fee is included on all student compensation invoices.

You can cancel anytime. Canceling while a GIG is live or active will result in all applicants and/or active GIG participants being notified of rejection. All student time that is not yet paid is invoiced and charged at the end of the billing cycle.

All content created by GIG workers in your GIG programs is owned by you in perpetuity. You also have the right to promote content with paid strategies, or any other promotional efforts.

In the event that you want content that is being created by GIG workers, to be posted by the GIG workers themselves, you can outline this in the responsibilities and duties section of the contractor agreement.

As per FTC Regulation, if a GIG worker is paid to post publicly in the requirements of the GIG (see above) then it is required for them to include #ad or #paid. If the company is using/posting content, it is not required, since they already fully own the rights to the content and can do whatever they want with it.
