Hi, I’m Ayomi. Founder & CEO of Canopy. As an ex-TikTok employee turned TikTok Creator, it’s safe to say I am obsessed with the Creator Economy. I’ve witnessed firsthand how you can build a career out of making content but the reality for most of us, is that it doesn’t happen overnight and it’s a really hard and lonely path. I remember when I landed my first paid brand deal with only 2000 followers, I was shocked because I truly had no idea what I was doing. From negotiating rate cards, to red-lining contracts, to creating invoices, there was a LOT to figure out and I didn’t have anyone to turn to and ask for help. That’s why I’m building Canopy – a dedicated community for Creators to help Creators succeed and build a sustainable career. We don’t need to hustle alone, we can win together and make smarter business decisions if we share information! The hardest part about leaving my 9-5 job to become a Creator was not having a support system.
