While I haven’t created UGC for a beauty or retail brand yet, I have created short-form content for campaigns and organizations. For example, when I ran for Student Body President at UNC, I created videos using trending sounds, relatable storytelling, and social media trends to engage students and encourage them to vote. What made the content feel natural was that it reflected my real personality and experiences rather than feeling overly scripted. I believe the same approach works well for UGC because audiences respond best to authentic content that feels genuine and relatable.

For a quick-turnaround project, I would start by identifying key brand messages and then build two distinct concepts around content that already fits my style. One video could focus on my running routine and how I keep my lips hydrated before and after long runs, highlighting the product in a natural, lifestyle-focused way. The second video could showcase a more everyday routine, such as getting ready for work or a workout class, demonstrating how the product fits into my daily life. By keeping both videos authentic to my experiences while incorporating the brand’s messaging, I can create content that feels genuine, engaging, and aligned with the brand.
